Mom with toddler and baby living in a two-story house, how do you manage things around the house?
My husband and I are going to move to a two-story house. (The stairway is quite high with 20 steps without the rest area). We are now living in a one story duplex house, making it very easy to manage the things around and to take care of 19 months old toddler. We are thinking of moving to the new house and by the time we move my toddler will be around 2 years old and I am around 6 months pregnant.
Need your advices about how you manage things especially about child care and chores around the house so you wouldn't be too tired to run upstairs and down. Those who don't have children at the mentioned ages, your advices are welcome too. Thank you very much.
We used the stairs as the "staging area" meaning, if something needed to come down or go up, but I wasn't ready to go at that moment, I would put it on the stairs, and at the end of the day, I'd grab as much as I could carry and haul it all up.
As far as chores were concerned, basically I did what absolutely HAD to be done at the moment it occurred to me. My house was a wreck for years.
